Instructions for Canon CLI-8 and PGI-5 cartridges

Step 1: Resetting
1. Slide the black (PGI-5) cartridge, Chip facing the CHIP-REdSETTER , into the guide. (picture 1)
2. Push the cartridge down to ensure that the Chip touches the contact plate. The short fl ash signals the contact has been made. The following continuous LED-light tells you that the programming has been successfully completed. The cartridge can be removed and refi lled.
3. To program the colour (CLI-8) cartridges, slide the provided adapter into place and repeat the process, as described for the black (PGI-5) cartridge. (picture 2)

Step 2: Refilling (There are 2 methods to fill the cartridges)
1. Refill with filling adapter
2. Refill without filling adapter
